LEICA M3 "BLACK PAINT" (1961) and Summicron Rigid (1956)

4000€

Here are a M3 and 50mm Summicron II, acquired and modified together.

Therefore, I'm initially offering them together at a more attractive price.

Leica M3 single-stroke, 1961 :

Black lacquered body with a light brass patina by Jackf

I started with a body that was originally in perfect condition with an intact Vulcanite covering.

Once serviced, the controls are incredibly smooth and the shutter release is truly muted.

The rangefinder, it offers exceptional contrast and is among the best you can find on an M3.

- Original Vulcanite covering intact (this is important on a model with a light patina)

- The body has been serviced and its operation is particularly smooth with a muted shutter sound.

- The shutter curtains are in perfect condition.

- "Brass2Black" lacquered brass flash socket caps or the original ones (as shown in the photos).

€4000 (instead of €4250) with the 50mm Summicron II "Rigid" V.1 lens

or €2500 for the M3 body only

Six-month warranty.

Shipping included for France and EU countries

Summicron II "Rigid" (V.1) from 1956

This is the first version of the Summicron II, known as the "Rigid."

Like the M3 it was mounted on, this 50mm Summicron was also in very good condition, with beautiful, scratch-free lenses and an intact coating (which is particularly rare on this model). I should point out a very small, barely visible, half-moon-shaped cleaning mark of about 7-8mm on the coating of the second lens at its periphery. It is neither a scratch nor fungus, but simply a very slight mark barely visible on the anti-reflective coating of this second lens.

Optically, this Summicron is excellent, and its focusing perfect even wide open.

- Black lacquered finish with a light brass patina in keeping with its age.

- Brass mount, as it was on black Summicron of that era.

- Smooth, yet firm, rings.

- Beautiful lenses with coatings, which is rare on this model.

- Aged patina on the brass parts and black anodizing of the aluminum focusing ring before painting.

€4000 (instead of €4250) with the 1961 Leica M3

or €1750 for the lens alone.

Six-month warranty.
